Ikhwan is an Australian-trained neonatologist currently working at Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He holds accreditation in Clinician Performed Ultrasound (Neonatal) from the Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM). Ikhwan has a keen interest in utilising point-of-care cardiac ultrasound to enhance precision and safety of care in the management of critically ill neonates. He is actively involved in the education and mentorship of neonatal trainees enrolled in the Certificate in Clinician Performed Ultrasound (CCPU) program.
