Aartik Sarma, MD, MAS is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UCSF, where he is core faculty at the UCSF Center for Precision Research in Critical Care and affiliate faculty in the UCSF/UC Berkeley Joint Program in Computational Precision Health. Dr. Sarma received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. He then went to UCSF for fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and joined the UCSF faculty in 2022. Dr. Sarma’s research focuses on using multi-omic and computational methods to understand the heterogeneity of critical illness and develop precision treatments for patients in the ICU.
