Florent Baudin is an anesthesiologist–intensivist and Professor of Pediatrics at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, and Deputy Head of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Hospices Civils de Lyon, France. He is the elected Chair of the Respiratory Section of the European Society of Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care (ESPNIC).
He completed his medical training and obtained a PhD at Lyon 1 University. This was followed by a fellowship at Sainte-Justine University Hospital in Montreal, Canada.
His research focuses on optimising mechanical ventilation in children with bronchiolitis, as well as advanced monitoring strategies in paediatric critical care. He has contributed to several international consensus conferences, helping to develop guidelines aimed at improving the management of critically ill children.
