Hylke Salverda

Dr. Hylke Salverda received his medical degree after graduating cum laude from the University of Leiden in 2015. After working for year as a senior house officer on the paediatrics department of the Bronovo Hospital in The Hague he was given the opportunity to start his PhD with Arjan te Pas in Leiden, the Netherlands.

His PhD combined two much enjoyed subjects: neonatal care and computer science. The result was an 8 paper thesis on outcomes after automated oxygen control in neonates. Following his PhD Dr. Salverda has done post doctorate research at the Royal Hobart Hospital in Tasmania, Australia during which he created a simulation to bench-test different neonatal ventilators.
