Raffaele Dellacà, PhD, MSc is full Professor in Bioengineering at the Department of Electronics, Information and Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano University, Italy.
Prof. Dellaca’ main research interests are in the area of biomedical technologies and bioengineering of the respiratory system. Prof. Dellaca’ research includes the study of respiratory physiology, non-invasive methods for assessing lung function and optimizing mechanical ventilation, with applications in both invasive and non-invasive ventilation, with focus on respiratory diagnostic and in improving respiratory support in COPD and newborns. He has coordinated or participated to several research projects funded by international or national funding agencies, companies or private/charity foundations. Prof. Dellaca’ is now internationally recognized as a world leading expert on Oscillatory Mechanics and Forced Oscillation Technique.
