Rishi Ganesa

Dr. Rishi Ganesan is a pediatric critical care physician and a neurocritical care specialist at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry of the Western University (London, Canada).
He began his research career as a mechanical ventilation researcher focused on the airway pressure release ventilation (APRV).

His team conducted the first (and only) randomized controlled trial of APRV as the primary mode of ventilation in pediatric ARDS. Subsequently, he completed further training in neurocritical care at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids, Toronto) and has since focused his research on the use of neurophysiology and functional neuroimaging to enhance our understanding of brain health and brain-lung interactions in critically ill children.

His program of research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Brain Canada Foundation, Academic Medical Organizations of Southwest Ontario, etc.
